When dealing with a discipline issue, it can be helpful to have a student cull through the deck and identify Proverbs that are related to the situation. The coding on the back can lead to interesting insights into underdeveloped marks of wisdom that the student may need to develop.
When a student comes to you with a problem, hand over The Wisdom Deck and ask the student to pick out the cards that she believes are applicable to the situation. (You can also do this activity by setting up a hypothetical situation.) This is a great way to delve into a deeper discussion with teenagers. Another tip: Look at the wisdom domains on each card. You may see themes emerge, depending on which Proverbs the student selects.
